of Job Duties
|
Provide consultation
in development, coordination, and implementation of assistive technology
services. Under supervision provide consultation in development, coordination,
and implementation of assistive technology(AT)services. Interprets medical
reports and other information to evaluate consumers' need for AT software and
hardware; trains consumers on how to operate the AT software and hardware in
home, school and workplace settings; manages and builds caseloads through
referrals; maintains appropriate documentation for provision of services;
prepares monthly reports; identifies and coordinates AT purchases with
counselors and vendors. Serves as a community educator and conducts public
relations activities on behalf of the agency. Performs other duties as
assigned.

Under supervision,
gains skills to perform professional level vocational rehabilitation functions
such as vocational or technology assessments, rehabilitation technology,

and/or vocational evaluation; OR Under supervision performs as a novice
counselor, providing basic vocational rehabilitation caseload duties such as
collecting information and making recommendations for determining eligibility,
plan development and implementation; and performs other duties as
required.

Typical
Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements :

Work is performed
primarily in an office setting. Occasional travel will be required to coordinate
services between customers and the agency.
