Greater Louisville April Luncheon Reminder!

Hello,

The NFB of Greater Louisville April Luncheon is Saturday April 7th from 11am till 3pm at the Kentucky School for the Blind in the Food Service building. Our lunch will be catered by Mark’s Feed Store. Our guest speaker is Jack Fox. Mr. Fox is a talking book narrator from the American Printing House for the Blind.

The deadline for your luncheon and dues payment is Wednesday, April 4th. Your lunch will cost you $5 and your NFBGL dues will cost you $2. Please make check or money order payable to, NFBGL and mail to, Maria Jones, 5108 Bannon Crossings Dr. Louisville, Ky 40218.

I’ve had several people ask me what this luncheon is all about, so in case you are a new member or I haven’t explained it very well, here’s what it’s all about. You can think of our April luncheon as our chapter’s convention. We hold elections for the Greater Louisville board, this is one important reason to pay your dues, without paying dues you will not be eligible to vote in the elections or any business brought forth. You will also hear from me, Nickie Pearl, I will be giving a Presidential report. Nothing too long, just a brief recap of the year. We will hear from Maria Jones, Greater Louisville Treasurer, Maria will give us an in depth financial report from this past year. From 11am till noon, we will have some chapter building activities. These are designed to get you interactive with one another and learn some NFB Philosophy. Our guest speaker, is just a treat. We try to bring in people from the blindness community to share with us their lives, stories, motivations and much more.

I hope this gives you a little better idea of what the April Luncheon is all about. If you still have questions, please feel free to contact me at, njp@insightbb.com

Don’t forget, April Luncheon is Saturday April 7th and payment deadline is Wednesday April 4th.

Thank You!

Nickie Pearl, President
NFB of Greater Louisville
